2025 HERBAL SCHOOL

You are strongly encouraged to beginning February 19th and take each month's classes through December 6th, however you can enroll and extend through the next year's program for classes missed.  This provides you the maximum benefit of seeing the plants, mushrooms, and medicinal trees throughout 4-seasons in their fullness of bloom and in their dormancy.  The course is designed to be taken through the full year.

This course includes the basics of Herbalism and an understanding of how the body works.  It allows you to explore on your own.  You will experience wild-crafting, research and development, medicine making and other related activities that will help you become a well-rounded, informed and active herbalist.

INTRODUCTION TO PLANT FORAGING

Let us demystify the weird, wonderful, and fascinating world of wild plants. 
As you are  absorbing all this knowledge, you'll be lapping up the beautiful scenery, identifying forages, and tasting them as you go along. 
Walks are not usually more than a mile or two.

TRAUMA SENSITIVE YOGA 

Trauma can send your brain into overdrive. You might find yourself constantly on guard and unable to relax. Trauma sensitive yoga can help you focus on what’s going on in that moment and recognize what’s going on in your body. It also can help you focus on your breath. When your mind is racing, your muscles are tense, you’re always on edge, you don’t feel like yourself - and you don’t feel like you’re safe. Trauma sensitive yoga is practiced in a safe space with me, who will respect your boundaries. I can help you learn how to control and manage what your body and mind are going through. As you combine movement and breath, you will start building back your  mind/body connections. I can also help you understand and tolerate the sensations you’re feeing so you no longer feel like a stranger in your own body.

YOGA TRAPEZE 

Yoga trapeze helps create natural traction within the spine allowing it to lengthen and pull apart (instead of squishing it together). 

Yoga trapeze is the most natural form of inversion therapy that lengthens the space between each vertebra, supporting and assisting the body in deeper stretches, building core and upper body strength through various movements. Being inverted gets you upside down, revering the blood flow, sending fresh oxygen to your brain, leaving you feeling invigorated and inspired.

REIKI

Reiki is simple, natural, and a safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. 

A reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing.

I am an herbalist, a certified 500-hour yoga teacher, a registered 500-hour meditation teacher, Reiki practitioner, TCTSY-F (Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator), personal trainer with a wide variety of speciality certifications, an avid baker, and self published author; "Botanical Healing."
I teach individual sessions using nature as a connection tool to help utilize movement and meditation. I blend my knowledge and experience with my intuition to support each participant in reconnecting with their bodies and to regain their sense of control. 
I know first hand what a powerful and complicated process developing a practice can be. I am honored to create a space for others to explore these practices for themselves.
