Writer's picture: HollieHollie

Ingredients

3 parts Chickweed infused oil (6oz)

1 part nettle (2oz)

Beeswax (1oz)

Essential oil (if you chose)

For bites, stings, dermatitis, and wounds

Ingredients

1 part Calendula Infused Oil (4oz)

1 part Cayenne Infused Oil (4oz)

Beeswax (1oz)

Essential oil (if you chose)

For cuts, injuries, or sore muscles

Instructions

  • Pour the oil and beeswax into a glass measuring cup

  • Create a double broiler by placing the measuring cup in the saucepan. Fill the pan with water to 3/4 the height of the measuring cup.

  • Bring the water in the pan to a boil, and heat the oil mixture until the beeswax and oils have melted together.

  • Test the consistency of the salve by coating the metal spoon and placing in the freezer for about 1 minute. Add more wax if you would like it to be firmer, add more oil if you would like it to be softer.

  • Pour salves into jars and let cool.

Optional - add essential oils at this time, taking care not to add them when the salves are too hot.
